East-West Center (EWC)

EWC is an educational research facility that focuses on strengthening relations between Asia, the Pacific and the United States. The East-West Center helps promote communication and journalism in Hawaii's multi-cultural society.

Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC)

With continual technological advances, telecommunications has become a fundamental tool to getting ahead. The Pacific Telecommunications Council (PTC) promotes the use of telecommunications to improve things like education, health, and commerce. PTC's conferences and seminars provide connections with other communication professionals.

Pan-Pacific Education and Communication Experiments by Satellite (PEACESAT)

PEACESAT, along with PTC, uses Information and Communications Technology (ICT) to facilitate development communication and public service communication. Development communication uses ICT to help build organizations and communities. Public service communication uses ICT for educational purposes as well as creating awareness within the community.

Distance Learning and Instructional Technology (DLIT)

DLIT uses distributed learning and user services that allow students from across the globe to communicate and learn together without leaving the comfort of their own homes. Distributed learning demonstrates how telecommunication is an invaluable educational tool. This gives students a first-hand experience in telecommunication.

Likewise, many international conferences dealing with Asian/Pacific affairs provide a stimulating environment for international and intercultural communication.
